Spoon & Ledger(Demo)

Help

Spoon & Ledger is in early testing, so the most useful thing you can do when it falls down is say so. Here is how, and the answers to the questions that come up first.

Something is wrong, or confusing

Send it through the beta form: put what happened in the notes. The three things that make it fixable are which page you were on, what you did just before, and what you expected instead. A screenshot helps. If you already signed up, using the same email address updates your note rather than adding a second one.

Signing in

Each copy has one password, shared by the household. Ask whoever set the copy up. The demo has none. Signing in lasts thirty days on a device; if it asks again sooner, the password was changed, which signs everyone out.

On a phone

The site installs from Safari: open it, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen. It opens full-screen from the icon and stays signed in. There is also an iPhone app for testers, which does the same thing and adds a first screen asking which copy to open: the demo, or your own copy’s address. To change that choice later, open Settings inside the app; the last card there is Switch to a different copy.

A copy of your own

The demo is a sample household anyone can use, and it is reset from time to time, so it is not the place for your real plan. A copy of your own has its own database and password; the beta form is how to ask for one.

What it does, and what is next

Features says what each tab does and how settled it is. Roadmap says what landed lately, what is coming, and what is still rough. If what you hit is on the rough list, it is known; a note that it bit you is still worth sending, since that is how the list gets ordered.
